Thoughtful Branches Hydrangea Notecard

Here is my first post using the SU Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set (143539) and the coordinating Thinlits (143538).  This is a beautiful set that is only available during the month of August 2016.  I am hoping they decide to continue having this set available.  You can also buy it as a bundle (144328) and save 10%.

This is a simple note card and I am thinking of creating
a note card set for my Open House on September 17th.

I used SU Whisper White Note card set (131527)
as the card base and envelope.  This is such a good
deal; 20 cards and envelopes for $6.  It comes in
Whisper White and  Crumb Cake.
The front accent panel is from SU
Serene Scenery DSP 6x6 stack.(141642)
This paper is so beautiful, it is double sided
and it is difficult to decide which side to use.
The white washed wood panel was a
perfect backdrop to highlight the hydrangea.

The hydrangea was done in SU Soft Sky (131203)
and SU Wisteria Wonder (122922) cardstock.  Using
the Thoughtful Branches Hydrangea stamp, I stamped
on the Soft Sky cardstock with SU Soft Sky ink (131181)
and did a second generation stamp on the Wisteria Wonder
cardstock using Wisteria Wonder ink (126985).
Then both hydrangeas were cut out using the
coordinating Thoughtful Branches Thinlits.
The stem and leaves were cut out
using SU Wild Wasabi (108641) cardstock.
I glued the stem first.  Then glued the Soft Sky
Hydrangea on the stem.  Then I popped up
the Wisteria Wonder Hydrangea slightly offsetting
it on top of the Soft Sky Hydrangea.  Then
stamped the sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink (140931).

The envelope is stamped with another stamp from the
set in SU Wisteria Wonder and Soft Sky inks.  Some
were second generation stamp and continue on to the
back flap of the envelope.

Sunshine Wishes Hope card

This is the third card for my Floral and Thinlits class offered  September 24th and 29th.  I will continue to post more information here and on my Stampin' Up Website.  I did this card in two layouts; one wide card and one tall card.  Which do you like best?  I like them both.

Here are both cards and the front and back of
the envelopes used.  This is a simple card
with no stamping unless you choose to
stamp a sentiment on the inside of the card.

Both are A-2 cards using SU Whisper White Thick
cardstock (140272), SU Melon Mambo cardstock
(115320), and SU Basic Black cardstock (121045).
SU Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper (DSP) (141648)
was used as the accent paper on the front & inside
of the card and on the front and flap of the SU
Whisper White medium envelope (107301)
I added SU Wink of Stella(144897) to the
butterfly and the word 'hope' to add emphasis
and some glitz.

This is the tall version of the card.

This is the inside of the tall card.

This is the wide card and envelope.

This is the inside of the wide card.

I really love this card and it was so easy to make; just
a lot of cutting with the trimmer for the accent paper
and using the SU Sunshine Wishes Thinlits set (141489)
for the flowers, butterfly and hope.  And then
using adhesive to put it all together.

Embellished Ornament Card - Yes, It's beginning to look like Christmas

I know some people don't want to think about Christmas until December.  That isn't me.  I make over 100 Christmas cards each year and usually try to start in July.  I am a little behind this year.  I have designed one Christmas card for my Floral and Thinlits class in September/October.  Then I will have two different Holiday classes in October/November/December.  Check out my SU Blog for more specific information.  The first Holiday class will focus on Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The second  Holiday class will focus on Christmas.

This card is made with SU Whisper White Thick
cardstock (140272) for the card base which is
4 1/4 x 5 1/2 with a top fold.  The accent panel on
the front is SU Island Indigo cardstock (122923).
The front panel is SU Whisper White cardstock (100730).
The ornament is stamped on SU Whisper White
cardstock in SU Island Indigo ink (126986) using
SU Embellished Ornament stamp set (139756) wood,
(139759) rubber.  Then it is cut out using SU Delicate
Ornament Thinlits (139667).  The ornament is
popped up using SU Dimensionals (104430) in the center
of the front panel.

The silver accents on the ornament are done in SU
Silver Foil Paper (132178) and cut out using
SU Delicate Ornament Thinlits.  The silver accent
along the left side of the front panel is also done
in SU Silver Foil paper and cut out with the
SU Flourish Thinlits (141473).

Inside of the card.

The sentiments on the front and inside of the card
are from the SU Embellished Ornament stamp set
and done in SU Island Indigo ink.
The holly flourish along the border edges
is also done in Island Indigo ink and are from the
SU Embellished Ornament stamp set.

The Holly on the front of the SU Whisper White
Medium Envelope (107301) are stamped in SU
Island Indigo ink using SU Embellished Ornament
stamp set.

Flourishing Phrases Just a Note Card

Here is the second card I have designed for my Floral and Thinlits Class for September.  It will also be a part of the samples I show at my Open House in September.  Check out my calendar on my SU Blog for dates and times; Sher Huss, Independent SU Demonstrator.

The Flourishing Phrases stamp set (141534) and Flourish Thinlits( 141478) caught my attention early on.  There is so much you can do with this bundle.  I will be sharing more samples from this bundle over the next few months.  I have used the thinlits on a Christmas card for my Floral and Thinlits class.  Look for that post later today.

The card base is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 with a top fold using
SU Whisper White thick cardstock (140272).  SU
Flirty Flamingo, one of the new In Colors,
cardstock (141416)
is cut 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 for the accent panel.  Then,
SU Whisper White thin cardstock (100730) is
cut 5 1/4 x 4 for the front panel.
The flowers are stamped in SU Peekaboo Peach ink, another
new In Color, (141398) and SU Flirty Flamingo ink (141397).
Some are stamped full strength and most are stamped off
and are a second generation stamp.  I love these two
colors together.  They make me happy.

There are also floral die cuts in  SU Flirty Flimingo
cardstock and SU Peekaboo Peach cardstock (141417)
using the Flourish Thinlits (141478).  The floral
dies are accented in Wink of Stella Clear (141897).  Three
new SU In Color Enamel Shapes (141410) are added to
three flowers.

Inside of the card.

 I did three second generation
flowers in the lower left corner.

The Sentiment on the front of the card is from
the SU Flourishing Phrases stamp set (141534) and
stamped in SU Archival Basic Black ink (140931).
The front of the envelope, SU Whisper White Medium
Envelope (107301) and has three flowers in
the left bottom corner.  The Peekaboo Peach flower
is full strength and the Flirty Flamingo flowers are
second generation stamping.

Detailed Floral Thank You Card

I am working on cards for a class and open house in September.  When the SU Annual Catalog first came out in June, I fell in love with the Detailed Floral Thinlits (141482).  There is so much you can do with this die cut -weddings, anniversary, birthday, thank you, friendship, love, and sympathy. This card is simple using SU Night of Navy cardstock (100867)for the front panel and SU Night of Navy Ink (126970) for the sentiment on the front & inside of the card and front of the envelope; SU Shimmery White cardstock (101910) for the card base and sentiment strip; SU Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper (DSP) (141663) for the envelope flap cut out with the Detailed Floral Thinlit.  I embellished the card with SU Pearl Jewels (119247).  This is a simple and beautiful card.  What do you think?  Any ideas on how you might use this thinlit?  I will be making more samples using this thinlit and will share here.

The sentiment stamp on the front and inside
of the card are from SU Thoughtful Branches
stamp set (143539).  The dots are from SU
Birthday Blooms stamp set (140658) rubber and
(140655) wood

Inside of the card

The inside sentiment is "Your kindness makes
a difference."  I really love the SU Thoughtful
Branches stamp set and thinlits.  They are only
available through August 31, 2016.  Most of
the SU Demonstrators are asking SU to
keep this set.  It is amazing.  I will be
posting some samples in the next week or so.

Front of envelope and card.  I used SU Whisper
White Medium Envelopes (107301)

Back of envelope; I love this look and would bring
it down further on the flap.  So beautiful.  Very delicate
and a bit romantic.
